We have three weeks before we all go back to school. I say ALL because in a way, I’m going back as well. This year I’ll be the PFO President and while it certainly wasn’t a position I sought out, it is one I’m determined to make the most of. Stores are already fully stocked with supplies and I’m the type of person who likes to purchase things a little at a time. I don’t go all out and make myself crazy on one shopping expedition. All three kids need very specific items since they are at three different schools again this year. Elementary, junior high, and high school all have different requirements. And now I need supplies as well. I have notebooks to get, a bulletin board to decorate, and any number of additional office/craft supplies to make sure I’m covering all the fun, crafty aspects of working with our PFO.
I also recently created a fun collection box that our school can use for storing the Box Tops we collect with the Box Tops for Education program. You know about this, right? You clip those cute little pink labels off select products and when you add them all up you get money back for your school. If your school doesn’t have a program going, think about starting one.
As I was shopping at Walmart, I’ve been noticing all the products that have the labels on them. Kleenex is one of them. They had a huge display with special back-to-school designs. They are actually really beautiful. Seriously… a Kleenex box that you want to leave out in public.
I thought these would be so adorable in the girls’ rooms. With three girls in the family, we go through a LOT of tissues.
What do you think? The decorated boxes go really well in the kids’ rooms. I love that they end up being part of the decor. AND… the bonus is that you can collect the box tops and bring them into your school to earn money back.
