Once all the fun of Halloween comes to an end, the Holiday Stress begins in a big way. Despite the fact that you might be giddy with excitement over Thanksgiving, Christmas or Chanukah, you have to admit this time of year is pretty big on STRESS. Go ahead… pick a stress…
- Family you don’t want to see
- Family you do want to see but won’t be seeing
- Money you don’t have
- Travel you don’t want to take
- Kids with gift lists bigger than our national debt
- Worry about holiday bonuses (getting or not getting)
- Thanksgiving: Dinner In or Dinner Out
- Chanukah: One gift or 8 gifts
- Christmas: Ham or turkey?
- Party dresses that don’t fit
- Parties you weren’t invited to
- Do you give your boss a gift?
No wonder we’re all stressed. And let’s not forget that we all know the New Year is coming fast and we are wondering if we should be taking out our New Year’s lists from last year and see how many we have actually been able to cross off. Now THAT thought is depressing.
In our family, the winter months get even crazier. Not only do we have to deal with holidays, we have the added issues of anniversaries and birthdays. And yes… December birthday’s DO get jipped out of gifts. Not fair.
My head has been hurting for two days straight. The fact that it’s dark now at 5pm isn’t helping. It’s cold. We might get snow in SoCal. I think I want to go back to bed and hibernate until spring.

These are precisely the reasons why I don;t want to go to may family in the holidays!!!You just have said it loudly:)And the most annoying part is when they start asking about my boyfriends (why I don;t have such and so..) I am so embarrassed:( What about you?
