I can’t even remember the last time I had my nails done and ever since the Nail Garden opened at our local mall here in Valencia, I have wanted to go check them out. On Sunday night, I finally had my chance. The SoCal Lady Bloggers, the network group I run with Melissa Dell, was invited to come experience the salon and receive a complimentary manicure.
A few weeks ago I was privileged to meet the Owner of the Nail Garden. Love her! I am always amazed with women who can recognize a need in business and then actually do the hard work to fill that need. It inspires me.
The first salon opened in 2008 at the Fashion Square Mall in Sherman Oaks and was so successful that another location soon followed. There are currently 5 Nail Salons throughout Los Angeles County and more locations are expected to open in 2014.
If you go to get a mani or pedi, go early and spend time sorting through all the polish colors. They are immense. The salon uses Essie and O.P.I. brands, which is also why their nail treatments tend to last much longer. Quality products = quality services.
The fun part was that all of us who were there chose such different colors. I ended up doing the gels since I had never had them before and I just can’t stand chipped polish. I chose a darker color for the fall/winter, but I’d probably go with a fun red or pink for the spring/summer. I really love the color I chose and 2 days later… no chips and they look as if I just walked out of the salon.
Of course, no Girls Night Out would be complete with some amazing treats. The Nail Garden provided some awesome hot chocolate (and you can get coffee as well) and we brought some Bailey’s to kick it up a bit. The cupcakes were provided by mall neighbor Velvet Cupcakes. If you haven’t been, it’s a great place to visit after you get your nails done.
What I really love most about the Nail Garden is what they are doing this holiday to give back. From now until December 18, if you bring a new, unwrapped toy in to any of their salons, you can take 15% off any service of your choice as a thank you. It’s kind of a win-win. A child in need gets a new toy for Christmas, and you get a discount on a kick-ass salon service.
If you are reading this post, you can get a fab discount as well. From now until the end of the year, my readers will receive 15% off any salon service just by mentioning SOCAL LADY BLOGGERS when you go into any of the Nail Garden salons. If you decide to go… let me know. I just might meet you there for some hot chocolate and cupcakes.

It was so much fun! I seriously needed more time to choose a color. I think both times I just get overwhelmed with the gel options. If I need to pick out a regular color on top of it - oh man. I’ll be done-zo. So many pretty colors!!!!
I love the color you chose and am actually trying to figure out what it is called so I can get it next time I get my nails done 😀
I wish I had written down the color. Next time I go in I’ll find out.
Looks like so much fun!
Had a blast that night! I was really impressed with the salon & so happy with my mani!
