It was 9:00 am and we were still in bed. Can’t remember the last time THAT has happened. Oh yes, the kids were shouting, dog was barking and general chaos ensued in the house, but for some reason we were left peacefully alone until 9 when the door burst open and it was announced that our presence was requested for breakfast at the “Westeraunt”. Let me explain…
The “Westeraunt” is the name of Temera’s future Restaurant. A combination of her last name “West” and “Restaurant”. This is no pipe dream… she has it all planned out. Business school and then Cooking school and then she’ll open her chain of “Westeraunts”. Go Tem!

The kids can work exceptionally well together when they really want to. Too bad they don’t want to very often.
| The “Westeraunt” Menu |
The breakfast menu was well thought out and contained quite a variety of choices. We started with coffee and then chose the “omellate beneditt” which we were told was an omelet with feta cheese, tomatoes and a splash of hot sauce. We also ordered the toast with jam. (Spelling is not a strong suite in my family.)

One of the best things I’ve ever done was to teach my daughter how to make coffee. Nothing like waking up to the aroma of fresh brewed coffee.
| Lauryn cooking breakfast. |
Even 6 year old Lauryn likes to cook. She makes her own fried egg almost every morning. Seriously, teach your kids how to cook young. It’ll save you the trouble of providing food for them every day.

Our breakfast was plated beautifully and was quite tasty. The omelet was cooked to perfection (I hate runny eggs) and the toast was spread with blackberry jam. It was yumalicious!
I love “Westeraunt” days. Now if only I can get them to create a lunch menu and dinner menu.
