If you haven’t been to Smart & Final lately, take a ride over there and see all the amazing First Street products they have. I have definitely started buying more “store brand” products in the past year and honestly, most of them taste exactly the same (or better) than name brands. Plus, they are a lot less expensive.
The last time I was in Smart & Final I purchased a bunch of First Street Waffles for our weekend breakfast. In our house, Saturday and Sunday breakfasts are huge. It’s our big family time when we all help out to make a big breakfast and we sit down together and talk about what’s going on over the weekend. Many times we just don’t get to do nightly dinners as a family, so we all really look forward to our weekends.

I usually buy a selection of waffles because my family all have different tastes. On this trip I purchased the plain waffles, the blueberry waffles and the multi-grain waffles (those are for me).
I also purchased First Street Blackberry Jelly and Strawberry Jelly…. and… a First Street Whipped Cream. I had the First Street syrup at home as part of an amazing gift bag full of groceries Smart & Final sent me.
So… breakfast time!
Here’s a hint to take your waffles (or pancakes or french toast) up a notch: heat up some Blackberry Jelly in a saucepan until it turns back into a liquid and pour over your breakfast of choice. It’s delish!

Add a dash of whipped cream and you have a breakfast that would make any family happy.
