I can’t tell you how much I despise doing laundry and I finally found a product where I can simply stop sorting laundry into whites, colors, darks, etc. I know… shocking, right? We’ve tried everything to stop the madness… I mean, laundry, from piling up. Nothing has worked. With five of us in the house, our laundry situation is completely out of control. And it takes me days, weeks, months (exaggerating… not really) to get it all done. But we never really DO get it all done because darn it… those kids start wearing them all over again.
Come on… you CAN use a towel more than once. And you CAN rinse out your bathing suit and hang it up. And you CAN do your own laundry every once in a while. Oh wait! I tried that once… to get the kids to do their own laundry. Yep, not so much.
So why on earth does it take so long to catch up on the laundry?
With all the mounds of clothes that need cleaning, my biggest time suck was actually sorting all of them and trying to figure out how many clothes (and towels and sheets) I had to even do a full load. I don’t do half loads around my house. For instance, Temera’s gym shorts are red, but we don’t always have a ton of other reds to wash. So, she ends up washing them alone, or I have to run through the house grabbing all the red colored clothes to wash along with them. Ugh! Hate that!
So, when I heard about Purex® No Sort™ for Colors laundry detergent, I was just a little giddy. Seriously? A laundry detergent where do you don’t have to sort your clothes? You mean to tell me I can put ALL my clothes, regardless of color, in the same load to wash? I’m not buying it! On my next shopping trip to Walmart, I thought I’d pick some up and give it a try.
With so many options to choose from, it can get a little crazy making a decision. The Purex® No Sort™ was surprisingly one of the least expensive brands. With as much detergent as we go through, that is a huge plus for me.
Now, the Purex® No Sort™ bottle does indicate that you should wash strongly colored fabrics and new pieces of clothing separately (especially those new jeans that are always bleeding when you wash them) at least 5 times BEFORE you use this detergent. Just want to get that out there in case you are throwing your new jeans and your new white t-shirts in the same wash. Unless you like tie-die t-shirts and then more power to ya! I have to say, I was pretty stoked to get some laundry done.
I ended up doing several loads of laundry with the Purex® No Sort™… and kind of held my breath with putting the reds in with the whites. But… I was super amazed at how much time I cut by not worrying about doing any sorting. I just picked up those piles and threw them all in together. I can NOT overstate how happy this made me. I have no time for this laundry business.
The Purex® No Sort™ anti-color-transfer technology is what traps all those loose dyes that come out in the wash and prevents them from settling onto the other fabrics. Gotta love science and technology!
This is just way too cool. I didn’t have anything bleed through and all the clothes came out perfectly clean. This just might be life-changing. I saved time AND money all in one product. Am I being too dramatic? I don’t care. I got a ton of laundry done early in the day and I have time to go spend the money I saved on detergent on lunch for myself. #LaundrySimplified… oh YES!
Thanks #CollectiveBias for opening my eyes and changing the way I do laundry. I’m now a Purex® No Sort™ fan. You can be too… follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube.

Ummm this could change my life.
I’m with Christie. This? Is a game changer. Thanks for sharing!
Oh thank goodness!! I have never sorted my laundry (with only a few mishaps!). This way I can make it look like I am not super lazy but because I am using the right detergent. 🙂
We’re a family of three and I cannot keep up with laundry. Like you, I have a “no small loads” rule - but no one seems to follow that rule! #client
