I have read a few books in my day (okay, more than a few) and there have been many I have loved, some I have really liked, and probably even more that I’ve barely been able to get through. Yesterday I finished one of those books that will quickly move to the top of my favorites list: The Forgotten Garden
by Kate Morton. This one is a page-turner; the kind of book that causes you to stay up way too late at night. Just one more chapter. Okay, then another. Before you know it is the early hours of the morning and you really do need to get some sleep.
We had to leave the house yesterday and I was about 40 pages from the end. I did what I hate doing… and what makes me completely sick: I read in the car. I had to. I was nearly at the end and I just couldn’t wait to see what the outcome was. I had an inkling what would happen, but even though I suspected, the twists and turns throughout the book kept leading me down different paths. Just like the maze leading to the Forgotten Garden… I was getting lost.
Kate Morton… I don’t know who you are but your book will now be considered one of my favorite books of all time.
