I was invited to a fabulous brunch last weekend by Eventbrite called Bloggers and Bellinis.
Have you heard about Eventbrite.com? It’s been around a while, but this ticket selling website has gained popularity in the past few months and I think it’s pretty safe to say I can’t imagine throwing an event without them.
Let me back up a bit… this isn’t just a blogging thing. I know, I DO go to a ton of events, but there are a ton more of local events around town that are using Eventbrite. Chances are that if you haven’t experienced them yet… you will. Very soon.
Last weekend I was invited to a special brunch to get to know the local Eventbrite rep and learn a little more about the company.
Our hostess for the day was Leila Najafi, the Marketing Manager for Eventbrite LA (in pink). I was also really happy to see some of my blogging friends there, but it was great to get the chance to meet some bloggers I didn’t know.
At our tables, we were treated to a lovely brunch with a choice of omelet, french toast or pancakes, along with sides of potatoes, sausage, bacon and fruit salad. Of course, the name of the event, Bloggers and Bellinis meant that the bellinis were flowing as well.
Holding your own event through Eventbrite is also super easy. You can manage parties, classes, family reunions, and even weddings. Yep… it’s been known to happen. If your event is FREE to attendees, using Eventbrite costs you NOTHING. If you want to sell tickets, you can set your own fees and decide if you want the Eventbrite fees paid through you or through your guests. You can even upload your own invitations or use the website software to customize what your page will look like. It’s all pretty cool. And yes… they have an app for that. You can check-in your guests on-site using your iPad. Awesomeness.
I also want to give a shout out to the incredible sponsors:
Krave Jerkey
POMWonderful
Napoleon’s Macarons
Pretzel Crisps
Vita Coco
KIND Bars
Violet Love Headbands
JAFRA Cosmetics
Cardio Barre
Uber
Tradewinds Tea
41 Ocean
Butterfly Floral
If you want to check out Eventbrite, you can go to their site and get a list of all the events happening in your city. It’s pretty cool… and a great tool for those weekends when you are trying to figure out something exciting to do. And, if you want to see what one of my events looks like, you can check out the Lifestyle Bloggers Conference that my blog network, SoCal Lady Bloggers, is working on with the Latina Lifestyle Bloggers. (Shameless plus.)
Thank you Eventbrite for the invitation to brunch and for the amazing gift bags. We were also provided with a gift card to use for Eventbrite events of our own. All opinions are my own. No monetary compensation was provided and I was not obligated to write about this event.
