I woke up early this morning to the sound of commotion in the kitchen. My husband is fast asleep next to me so I know it’s the kids banging around in there, most likely making me breakfast that will soon be brought in on a tray along with various hand-made gifts and cards. This is how a typical Mother’s Day starts out in our house. We are big proponents of breakfast in bed.
Since I’m up anyway, I immediately grab for my laptop and log onto Facebook. The first thing I saw was Jill Smokler’s post over at her blog Scary Mommy. As I began to write a Mother’s Day post, I realized there was no way I could do better than her.
Go.
Read it.
And have a very happy Mother’s Day!
