Yesterday, I picked up the paint and rollers I needed from Lowe’s so I would be prepared to start painting this morning. And then life got in the way.
My first mistake was checking my emails. Okay, not really a mistake, but I had about a dozen things that needed my attention ASAP. Wonderful. By the time I finished up with all that mess, I had to go pick up my organic produce basket (like I do every Tuesday morning). By the time I got home from that, it was already time for a webinar I needed to do for a job I’m working on. Okay, great. By the time that was done, I had to sit down and make a bunch of phone calls, send a bunch of emails and generally try and solve a whole slew of problems. Then… it was already time to pick up the kids from school. Yes, this is pretty much how my days all go.
So, did I get around to painting? Well, sort of. I mean… yes. Well, a little bit yes. I painted one of the walls. The rest of the walls I ended up having to texture where I patched and that had to dry before I could paint more. My guess is that it will all get painted tomorrow.
Oh really? I have a school board meeting in the morning and that leaves me just the afternoon to finish painting. BUT… I also need to go to Ikea and pick up the furniture because that is going to take me at least 2 days (Thursday and Friday) to put together. And Amanda comes home Friday night. Oh dear. This isn’t going well, is it?

Oh geez, I hope you are able to get everything done. Life always seems to get in the way. But “when there’s a will, there’s a way”, right?

Wow! At least you got one wall done! That was a lot to do in a day. I’m sure it’s going to look awesome!
