DIY Tween Room Transformation

by Carolyn West on April 8, 2013

Amanda left for Science Camp today. We had to be at school bright and early (okay, DARK and early) this morning with a week’s worth of clothing and cabin-gear.

She is incredibly excited and since we’ve already been through this with Temera, I know she’ll have an amazing week that she’ll be talking about for years.

But… in the meantime…

After about a year of promising her that I will transform her bedroom into a tween wonderland, I am finally taking a week to accomplish the transformation. When she comes home on Friday, she’ll have the bedroom of her dreams. Or of my dreams. Whatever… she’ll have a new room, complete with new bookshelf, new desk, and new bedding.

This is the “before”. I know, scary, right?

The girls have switched bedrooms around so much that poor Amanda never really had her room “done” the way she wanted it. Now that she’s 10, it’s time for a more grown-up room. Bye bye pink.

Check back daily for updates. Now let’s get this party started!

I love it! She will be so surprised…we are in transition mode with my daughter’s room too, and letting go of some of her “younger” things. Can’t wait to see your transformation!

Can’t wait to see it! She is going to be thrilled when she gets back! Isn’t this every girls dream to have her room redone while she’s gone? I know it was {is} mine!
