This is a sponsored post on behalf of SheSpeaks for Lancome DreamTone. I was asked to publish a #BareSelfie photo and review the product. All opinions are my own.
I’ve shared before about how I have never really had good skin. Even at, ahem, 47 years old, my skin is definitely not what I want it to be. I think I finally by-passed the acne stage (sort of), but now I’m dealing with the dark, uneven skin that is driving me crazy. I was sent a sample of Lancome’s DreamTone ($98 retail) to try for 4 weeks. I was willing to try anything that might even out my discolored face.
The plan was to use DreamTone every morning and every night for 4 weeks and then post a photo of my bare skin. Sounded interesting, but would it work?
DreamTone comes in 3 different barely-tinted serums to correct those dark spots, color imperfections and overall skin tone. I used Serum #2. Don’t let the barely-tinted bother you… once on your skin, you don’t even notice the tint at all. It blends in so well that you don’t even realize you have anything on your skin at all. It isn’t greasy or oily or clumpy and your skin just feels completely void of lotion. You can put your makeup on over it or climb into bed feeling like you have a clean, fresh face. I even loved the scent… not too strong, just a hint of floral.
You know I hate taking pictures of myself. Actually, I hate other people taking pictures of me too. I especially don’t like pictures taken of me without make-up, so this was really hard to do not having anything on my face. But… it isn’t so bad, is it? I’m finally getting rid of the ruddy complexion thanks to DreamTone, and even though I’m still not completely happy with my skin, I feel like I can actually go out without having makeup on once in a while. Surprisingly, I’ve actually even gone to the mall (I know.. the horror) without makeup on once in a while.
But you really want to know if it works, right?
My skin was completely smooth and not dried out one tiny bit. Not one. I always had issues with parts of my face being oily and other parts being dry and the DreamTone really DID even it all out. My makeup went on smoother and looked more natural. I started with some pretty awful dark spots and while they didn’t go away completely, they are starting to fade a bit. I’m still using the DreamTone and will continue for another month just to see if it keeps on working. For now, I’m pretty happy with the results I see. But you should try it for yourself.

Awesome review Carolyn.
I hope that Lancome continues to work for you. I can relate with not being happy with my skin…and dread going out without makeup on. sigh.
