If I hear another person tell me I need to take more vitamins I’m going to scream. Okay, I’ll probably be doing the most of the screaming at my husband. He’s been bugging me to take better care of myself and I know that I haven’t been doing that much lately. I usually take an all-in-one vitamin but I do feel like I’m lacking enough of certain things.
I was offered the chance to shop for Nature Made Vitamin D. The problem was, I didn’t really know much about what Vitamin D really is… or what it does… or why it’s good for you. So, I headed to the internet to do some research. Take a look at my entire shop at GOOGLE+.
Vitamin D is nicknamed the “Sunshine Vitamin” because while your body produces Vitamin D, it gets synthesized by the sun. Basically, your skin produces Vitamin D and sun exposure makes it work right. While it’s all very technical, your body needs Vitamin D to work properly. It helps with bone density, heart health and can help prevent some cancers. You’ve heard about how important calcium is, right? Well, without Vitamin D to aid in the absorption of calcium, you really aren’t going to be getting the benefits of the calcium you DO take.
If you are interested in taking a look at how Vitamin D can benefit your health, I’d recommend checking out the Nature Made website or viewing this short video.
There are several different kinds of Vitamin D but I decided to try the D3 since it most closely matches the type of Vitamin D your body produces naturally.
You can go crazy with trying to figure out what dose to take but the 1000 I.U. seemed to be enough for someone of my age, height and weight.
This has 250% of the Daily Value you need of Vitamin D. And… you only have to take one tablet a day.
The best part is the one pill is so super tiny that it’s no problem at all adding it to your regular morning ritual.
I love vitamins that are small and easy to take.
So I’m making another decision in my quest to get healthier. Taking Vitamin D.

Vitamin D can also help with depression - especially the seasonal variety. My problem is I don’t get outside enough to get it naturally!

I didn’t know it helped with depression. Probably has to do with the lack of sun as well… good thing I have a brand new bottle. Thanks.
You do need to take more vitamins… and better care of yourself! (Love- DH)
