Thank you Stonefire Grill for hosting dinner at your West Hills, CA restaurant to try out your new menu items. No compensation has been provided and all opinions are entirely my own.
My family has been dining at Stonefire Grill in Valencia, CA since it opened years ago. If you haven’t tried their breadsticks… you must go… NOW! I was invited to dinner by Stonefire Grill to sample some of their new menu items. Now, Stonefire is known for their BBQ tri-tip and chicken and incredible salads. That’s what we always order when we go (and the breadsticks!). What I’ve always loved is that you can order individual meals and family-size meals. It’s the perfect place to order when you are catering a party… or just need a family dinner. I’m always a little wary when favorite places come out with new menu items… it usually means that old favorites end up being replaced. Not so with Stonefire. They have greatly expanded their menu… and in a great way!
One of my favorite “new” foods is Quinoa. I kind of came late to the quinoa party and didn’t try it until a few months ago, but I absolutely love it. The Keen Green Salad is one I could literally eat every single day and never get tired of it. Basically, it has all my favorite foods in one neat little package: quinoa, chopped spinach, sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, avocado, parmesan cheese, and fresh pesto. SO YUM!
Who on earth doesn’t love shrimp? Okay… I know a few people… but not many. The shrimp dish comes in a half order (8 shrimp) or a full order (16 shrimp) and it’s served with fresh lemon, olive oil, garlic, chili flakes and chopped parseley… and quinoa, of course. Amazing!
Getting hungry? Me too. But wait… there’s more.
My all-time favorite of the evening was the new Roasted Cauliflower Pita. Okay, you might be wondering why cauliflower. Don’t knock it ’til you try it. It’s a taste treat for your mouth. Seriously. Roasted cauliflower, lemon tahini, chopped tomatoes, green onion, spicy cilantro-serrano sauce, all wrapped up in a Jerusalem pita. I can’t even begin to tell you how mouth-watering this is.
Other items that round off the “new” menu are slow-roasted, hand-carved turkey sandwiches, a new kale salad, whole roasted cauliflower, and you can even get their famous BBQ Chopped salad with Quinoa instead of chicken or tri-tip. Add in a local beer and dessert and you have the perfect date night… or family night… or meet-a-friend-for-lunch afternoon. There is something for every palate and diet on this new menu. And did I mention they still have their incredible breadsticks?
Stonefire now has SEVEN locations: Valencia, West Hills, Fountain Valley, Irvine, Chatsworth, Pasadena and Thousand Oaks. If anyone wants to head over to Valencia, I’ll be happy to meet you there.

That was fun! I had not tried any of those dishes even with my son working there for the past year. We always get the same old thing. What a treat!
Oh there is one in TO? I’ll have to try it out!
