The Perfect Storm a.k.a. My Life

I have to say that this week has been the Perfect Storm for me.

On Friday, my mother had surgery. Not life-threatening surgery or anything, just a hiatal hernia fix. Still, it was a 2 night hospital stay and new medications and stupid doctors and nurses to deal with. In the midst of this, my niece came to stay with us for a few days. Might not have been the best time, but we made the best of it… managed to see Monsters University, spend the day at Hurricane Harbor, and fit in a few games of bowling. The kids had a great time and it was nice to break up our usual routine. In all honestly, having 4 girls isn’t much different than having 3 girls. Just saying.

As my niece gets ready to travel back home, my best friend from college is coming to visit. Basically, that means another visit to Magic Mountain and a possible day at Disneyland. We are definitely getting our fill of amusement parks this summer.

We’ve been rushing all last week to get the kids’ bathroom remodeled. That is finally DONE. (Post to follow.) The husband repainted the deck and this week we’ll be sprucing up the deck so it’s actually usable. (Post to follow.)

I’m still behind on blog posts and books I want to read and I just found out the woman who has been doing my facials every month for the past 2 years is moving to Texas! WHAAAAAATTTTT? Not happy. Maybe I should switch from monthly facials to monthly massages. Seriously thinking about it.

Plans for the 4th Annual Lifestyle Bloggers Conference are in the works and it looks like we’ll have an even more awesomer (shut up… I know it’s not a real word) location for 2014.

My beloved SoCal Lady Bloggers group has almost reached 400 members… Woo Hoo! I can’t believe it.

I’ve been working on promoting the Nestlé® Pure Life® Facebook Page so if you could go take a look at it, that would be fantabulous! (I know, also not a real word.)

It’s only Tuesday… I’m tired and I need a nap.
