This is our last weekend before our big schlep to New York. The to-do list is bottomless and I’m feeling very unprepared. Of course, I usually feel unprepared for such a big trip but this will be anything but a relaxing vacation… and I so need a relaxing vacation.

When I started blogging 3 years ago, it was precisely so I could keep family updated on our summer vacation. At the time, that was my sole reason for starting a blog. Obviously, this little hobby of mine has turned into a full-fledged business venture and it’s been a wild and crazy ride. I’ve been so fortunate to meet people that I never would have met under any other circumstances. I’ve been blessed to have fellow bloggers turn into real-life friends.

So now we’re getting ready for our annual summer trip and yes, I’ll be blogging all about it. Airplane rides, rental cars, hotel stays and my kids’ first every time in New York City. We’ll also be showing them where I grew up, went to school and introduce them to old friends. Oh… and we’ll be attending a wedding. My kids’ first ever time at a wedding as well.

The fun all starts Tuesday as we take a red-eye out of Los Angeles. I know, a red-eye with 3 kids. What were we thinking?

And Park Ridge Marriott… I’m putting you on notice that I WILL be asking (begging) you for free wi-fi during our stay. This girl has some serious blogging to do.
