I hate cleaning. Hate it. Beyond hate it. In fact, I would just assume never have to clean again. Unfortunately, my desire for a clean house trumps my hatred of actually cleaning said house. So, considering I have to clean it anyway, I try and find the easiest, fastest way to get the cleaning done.
Swiffer recently sent me some of their products to try out.
The majority of the flooring in my house is Pergo so while I don’t have to deal with cleaning carpet all the time, sweeping and mopping the floor can get pretty miserable. Add in the constant dog hair and my aversion to germ-filled brooms and I was really in the market for an easy way to clean that was also sanitary every time.
The Swiffer Sweeper is pretty amazing. It is super simple to set up and you can use the dry cloths to sweep up the floor (and it works amazing with dog hair) and the wet cloths to mop it. One lightweight and inexpensive product can clean all my floors without having to empty buckets of dirty water. You just use either the dry or wet cloth and then you throw it away and take another. Super simple.
The Swiffer Duster is even more amazing. Living in Southern California, we have a huge dust problem. I can dust my house and the next day it is covered again. Gross. I had been using those micro fiber dusters but the problem with them is that it gets dirty really fast and then you have to throw them in the wash. I seriously can’t dust my entire house with just one and I hate doing laundry about as much as I hate cleaning the house. So… the Duster is perfect for my dusty house.
Yes, David is a closet duster… and he is the only one in the family who can actually reach up past the window. Nice to have a tall guy around.
So, I’m taking my Swiffer products and starting my Holiday Cleaning. Well, at least I’ll be dusting and cleaning the floors.
