Let’s Get Naked with CoolScultping!

March 24, 2012

I’ve been trying really hard to lose some weight before all my big events this summer. I’m finally starting to see the scale budge a little but after having three children, I’m pretty safe in saying my body may never be the same again. I’ve contemplated liposuction, but I’m scared to death of needles and the thought of someone ramming a rod into my legs and abdomen is a little more than I can bear. Really wish people wouldn’t videotape that stuff.

As I was roaming around the internet (what a surprise) over the last few days, I came across this most unusual photo…

Yes, I had to do a double take too. Are these people naked?

Actually, they are wearing body suits to make them look like they are, but this is all a cleverly crafted campaign called “Let’s Get Naked” for something called CoolSculpting. I know, I had never heard of it either. What on earth??? Basically, “CoolSculpting can help people reclaim their body and find that feeling by helping to shed unwanted and stubborn fat from common trouble areas like muffin top and love handles.”

Okay… I’m hooked.

But, really? What exactly IS CoolSculpting and for heavens sake… does it work? It’s an hour long procedure where targeted fat cells are frozen as you just sit there and wait. Within 3 weeks, you are supposed to see a difference and those frozen fat cells are just released naturally from your body… never to be seen from again. Now, this is NOT a diet. It’s NOT a way of freezing off 50 pounds of fat. But… for people like me who aren’t overweight and just seriously have some little areas that will never go away no matter how much diet and exercise I do, I think it sounds like a pretty good idea.

So, CoolSculpting decided to kick off their new “Let’s Get Naked” campaign at SXSW (South by South West - An annual music, film and interactive conference held every year in Austin, TX) and I so wish I was there to see this…

The whole point of the campaign is to get you to feel confident in your own skin… confident about being naked. And that is something we all need to feel better about. CoolSculpting is giving us an alternative to surgery and at SXSW they were using NYC’s Naked Cowboy and street teams of bodysuit wearing men and women to show us the importance of feeling proud of our bodies. Can you imagine if we never had bad body images again?

And to top it all off, there is a Let’s Get Naked Giveaway! I know… I want to WIN. You can win a new iPad AND a CoolSculpting session.

So what do you think? Would this be something you would do to feel better about your body?Because I’m seriously thinking this might be exactly what I need.

This has been a compensated post. All opinions are mine and I have to say I have NOT tried out this procedure myself. If I have the opportunity to do so, I would absolutely do it.

This looks awesome! And even though I think you look great, it would be perfect for what you need for the wedding! I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Lipo, Botox… It all freaks me out, including this. I totally feel whatever floats your boat, but I wouldn’t choose to do this personally. Curious to hear if you do give it a go!

Seems really interesting. I am one of those people who will try almost anything to stay in shape and lose those extra pounds. Please let us know if you try it. I’m really interested!

I don’t think I could ever actually have plastic surgery or anything invasive, but anything that would get rid of the fat cells from the outside of my body would be great with me.
