I am pretty excited that I’ve already started crossing off some of my gift list after my trip to Walmart and seeing the perfume box sets that always make the best gifts. Have you started shopping yet? For some reason my “buy for” list this year has gotten really, really long. The funny thing is… it’s primarily girls on that list. Lots and lots of girls. The point is, with so many people to buy gifts for, I need to be really careful about what I’m spending. I want good quality items, but need to pay prices my budget will be happy with.
Lately, my daughters have all been asking for perfume. As they are getting older, their tastes have definitely become a little more sophisticated. Every time we walk through a department store, they have to stop and try out all the fragrances. Unfortunately, they are all kind of pricey, which is why it’s pretty cool that a lot of the similar celebrity-branded perfumes are now available at Walmart.
I found these super cute gift sets that are perfect for the upcoming holidays. Since Chanukah is next week, I am in serious need of gifts NOW. Britney Spears “Fantasy” perfume not only smells really good, the perfume bottle is so adorable. All pink and sparkly. Definitely a winner.
Mariah Carey’s “Lucious Pink” gift set has a butterfly on top of the bottle… and I know a few young women who just adore butterflies.
How great that there is even a gift set for the guys… from Usher! So perfect when you don’t know what to get the guys on your list. And let’s face it… we never know what to get the guys on our list. Usher cologne is pretty cool, don’t you think?
All the gift sets are priced at $19.88 and they come with an exclusive celebrity ring tone. Okay, how fun is that? The display at Walmart lets you sample all the perfumes AND hear all the ring tones. I might have spent a little too much time hanging around the store pressing buttons.
I wish ALL the perfumes were available as testers, but seems like some people were a little too anxious to get their hands on them.
All in all, I’m really happy with my first go-round of holiday shopping. I got the girls some great Chanukah gifts… things they will just love. I’ll be heading back in another few weeks to finish the names on the Christmas side of my list.
