Gourmet Paninis with Sargento Ultra Thin Sliced Cheese #thintowin

June 27, 2012

A few weeks ago I tried the new Sargento Ultra Thin Sliced Cheese for the first time. We are a big cheese-loving family so we always have sliced cheese in our house. The beauty of these new Sargento slices are they are extra thin and are only 45 calories or less! They are the perfect snack when you’re hungry and need a little extra protein, but don’t want to use up all your daily calories.

Our go-to meals around here are usually sandwiches… paninis to be exact. Since we got our panini maker a few months ago, we have gotten way more use out of it than we ever would have imagined. The Sargento website has a ton of panini recipes so we thought we’d grab some of the Ultra Thin Slices and whip up some paninis for dinner.

Gourmet Paninis

Ingredients:
Sargento Ultra Thin Slices
Sourdough bread
Grilled chicken breasts
Sliced tomatoes
Condiments (mustard, mayo, etc.)

Panini Fixings

Grilled chicken breasts

Putting the sandwiches together is a piece of cake. You just layer the ingredients you want and top it all off with the sliced cheese. I grilled the sandwiches on the panini maker for only a few minutes and they came out delicious.

The first thing I would make is a sandwich; my son loves sandwiches. Thanks for the opportunity.

I mistakenly picked up a pack of the Thin-Sliced variety-but it was great! I use this on my BLTs and Ham N’ Cheese sandwiches all the time; the pack is almost empty so I hope I win-then I’ll go get more!

Sargento is my all time favorite go-to brand for grated cheese. I have to admit, I have wanted to try their thin slices but found them too expensive. Getting a coupon to try it for FREE would be awesome. I’d add the cheese slices to turkey dip sandwiches.

Where do you shop? I know that I saw them at our Vons store for almost $5.00 a package… crazy. Walmart had them for less than $3.00 each. Huge difference.
