I admit it… I’m kind of excited for the new Fall shows to start. After an entire summer of not watching TV at all, it will be nice to sit and relax in the evenings and just be entertained. Last year there really weren’t any shows that I was excited to see - there never seems to be anything new and different and I’m kind of beyond the age when Friends-type shows do much for me. So these are the shows that I’ll be watching for:
1. Playboy Club - I grew up in the era when the Playboy Club still existed and was shrouded in mystery. The girls were glamorous and you always kind of wondered what was really going on inside the Club.
2. Pan Am - Again, I remember Pan Am when I was a kid. That was back in the day when a Stewardess was tall, beautiful and YOUNG. They wore dresses and high heels on the flight… and cute little hats. One year for Halloween I even dressed as one… oh the dreams of a child.
3. Grimm - Nothing says scary more than a storybook villain. I think the concept of bringing childhood characters to life is brilliant and I’m really hoping they will do something fabulous with this instead of let it become really silly and pathetic.
4. Once Upon a Time - Another storybook take on the books we loved as kids. This one doesn’t seem as dark as Grimm but I hope these two don’t cancel each other out… or end up too similar that people are turned off.
5. Up All Night - Anybody who has ever spent an entire night up with a child will appreciate this. Enough said.
6. The Office - I don’t know who came up with the casting of James Spader as the new Office Manager but I only have one word to say… brilliant! I think Spader is one of the strangest, creepiest actors around and he is definitely quirky enough to take over for Steve Carrell. Can’t wait!
What shows are you looking forward to?

For me it’s comedy wednesday on ABC, Greys, Private Practice, Glee and Parenthood. I love all those shows. 🙂
Although I am a fan of reality TV, I do like your list. The only exception is The Office. In my mind things have really lost their mojo ever since Jim and Pam gave birth. I hardly laughed at all this past season. James Spader may be able to revitalize it though.
Also can’t wait to check out Up All Night. Other than that, we are pretty cop/crime centered around here: CSI, NCIS:LA, Criminal Minds. And Fringe — but I think that is mostly because of Joshua Jackson.
