BON JOVI IS TOURING

1983. It was the year Bon Jovi came into existence. It was also the year I started college in Philadelphia. The music scene was alive and happening back in those days, and new bands were sprouting up rapidly around New Jersey and Philly. As college students, we were listening to it all. We all knew about Bon Jovi before most of the country knew about Bon Jovi.

For 30 years, I have followed the group and I can count on one hand the number of groups that I have listened to and loved from the first song until their last. Lucky for me, Bon Jovi keeps cranking out the music… and here I am… still listening and loving it all.

Their new album, “What About Now” is set for release March 12, 2013 and I will be downloading it to my iPhone ASAP. Their first single from the album, “Because We Can,” embraces optimism and dares all of us to do what we can because we can. Bon Jovi has always been at the forefront of humanitarian causes. They are an inspiration for those of us who wonder what we can do alone to help out in the world. So often we don’t know what to do, so we end up doing nothing. Take a look at their Lyric Video and get inspired to be better. To do better. Because we ALL can!

Inspired yet? Think about the things you can do to make life better for someone else. It doesn’t take much, but even little things make a big difference. Help out a neighbor, provide meals to someone sick, volunteer to help clean up your city, make a donation to your favorite charity. Being busy doesn’t cut it. It’s an excuse. Pick something your entire family can do and JUST DO IT!

If you’ve never been to a Bon Jovi concert, you are missing out. They put on an amazing show and one of the things I love so much about them is that they don’t have to resort to bad language and crass moves to get their message across. Their songs tell a story, send a message and make you think. Yes, they are a rock band… but they have a heart. They are the one band that I can listen to with my kids… and my kids actually love them. They have even been nominated for a Kids Choice Award! How cool is that? VOTE for them HERE!

Check out their entire Tour Schedule!

I am also thrilled to be able to give away an autographed Bon Jovi tour poster that has been signed by the entire band. To enter, all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me your favorite Bon Jovi song - old or new. One winner will be chosen via Random.com on Monday, February 25, 2013. The poster is the one on the top of this post.

I was provided a complimentary autographed poster by AEG. Writing about Bon Jovi was my great pleasure. Photos were provided courtesy of AEG but, all opinions are entirely my own.

“(You want to) Make a Memory.” Such an amazing song. And Monday the 25th is my birthday so that poster would be a FANTASTIC present! I hope I can see Bon Jovi in concert one day. They are one of my very favorite bands!

The great thing is they perform in person as if they were all still 20 years old. Vocally and performance wise they haven’t aged a bit.

Having been born and raised in the great state of New Jersey, being a fan of Bon Jovi is something you are very proud of. Last December, I was unbelievably lucky to have been invited to see him perform out here on the ‘left’ coast on the Paramount Studios backlot. This was the first time since 1987 at Madison Square Garden when I was a tween. They were just as awesome and until this day, ‘Runaway’ is my favorite song. It was like the Jersey Shore anthem for the longest time.

I know it’s cliche but I like “It’s my life” I remember singing it while in school.
