I get chills every time I watch the trailer. Back in October, I had the privilege of participating in a special call with Malala. Listening to her voice and knowing her strength was certainly inspiring. She is a remarkable young woman.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have a chance to see the film when it was in theaters (darn Santa Clarita… doesn’t show anything other than blockbuster films), so I’m really excited that now everyone will be able to see this important film commercial-free on the National Geographic Channel on February 29 at 8pm ET/7pm CT - which of course would be 5pm PT.
He Named Me Malala is also nominated as Best Documentary for the Oscars, airing February 28. Keeping my fingers crossed that it’s a winner!
I urge you to gather the entire family to watch this important film. Let’s support Malala and her efforts as much as possible.
