So we are sitting at our computers in our shared office (my husband and I) and I casually say, “What do you think I should write about tomorrow?”. Ooooo… big mistake.
“Write about me. How much you love your husband. What a great husband and father I am.” he says.
Be careful what you ask for… here’s my “Ode to my Husband”.
1. He is a good husband. Most of the time. Sometimes he pisses me off. Sometimes I can’t stand his procrastination, subborness and annoying habit of never leaving on time.
2. He is a good father. Most of the time. Just hate when he gets mad at me for yelling at the kids and then goes and yells at them himself. Sheesh!
3. He loves his daughters. All 3 of them. Despite the fact that he really wanted a boy. Didn’t happen. Never gonna happen.
4. He’s good at fixing things. Sometimes it takes months (the procrastination thing) but he is quite handy. He’s got tools and he knows how to use them.
5. He’s supportive. Except when he’s not. Okay, mostly supportive.
6. He loves me. He thinks I’m nuts… but he loves me anyway. Don’t know why.
7. He has a great long term memory. He can remember every single line to Blazing Saddles and every 80’s sitcom jingle. He has terrible short term memory. He doesn’t remember to come to dinner when I asked him to 5 minutes ago.
8. He gives awesome foot massages. Enough said!
9. He doesn’t cook but will gladly spend hours at a time shopping at Costco. He gets all the things I need… and all the things I don’t need.
10. He has good hygiene. In fact, he spends more time in the bathroom than I do. He is fastidious about his hair. Which would be great… if he had any.
So honey… I did what you asked. I wrote a blog about you. I know I’ll be getting comments… lots of comments. All from you.
Love you honey!
I love this. It's sweet and honest at the same time.
He's a keeper! Honesty is the best policy when complimenting men; then, they'll know what they need to work on.
Really nice pic, btw!
Thanks… this picture is his favorite. Was taken on a cell phone (if you can believe that) when we were at the Grand Canyon.
He asked for it he got it. And I know your husband. He really is a good catch!
Boy, he sounds like my husband! Those David Wests are alot alike.
