The first blogging conference I ever went to was Bloggy Boot Camp in San Diego in March 2011. At the time, I thought I knew all about the blogging world… was following the right people, belonging to the right groups. Ha! I didn’t know anything.
As I was sitting at one of the big round tables listening to the amazing speakers, I noticed this woman at a table next to me. Her laptop was open and her feet were up on a chair. She looked completely relaxed. Like she belonged there. Every now and then she would just throw out a comment and I sat there wondering who on earth this person was.
That was my first intro to Jessica Bern.
It wasn’t until way after Bloggy Boot Camp that I realized she was THAT Jessica Bern. Wow - wish I had said Hi or something.
I followed her. She followed me. But it wasn’t until SoCal Lady Bloggers came about that we actually became blogging friends. (Now, I’m sure I’m way overstepping the bounds of blogging friendship here because I’m pretty sure this was completely one-sided on my part.) Nevertheless, I was super excited for her when I learned she was creating Blog This - a web series based on her life. First of all, she is funny as S*&% and second of all, she is a blogger… duh! Perfect combination.
So what was I doing this past Saturday? I was sitting in a living room that was standing in as a film location making my web series debut. (Yes, I do realize I will most likely end up on the cutting room floor, so to speak.) David and I got to be “extras” in one of the scenes for the show. Now, I’ve never been in any kind of show before and I’ve never been on a set for one either, unless you count the times I was an audience member for “Night Court”, “227″, “My Two Dads” or “Hollywood Squares”.
I had a blast.
Seriously… despite all the waiting around and the take after take… it was FUN! This is going to be epic. Jessica isn’t just funny, she is hysterically funny. We were laughing at her lines all 10 times she said them. Funny is funny, people. This show is going to be a hit.
The people involved are so damn nice. Not at all what you would expect. I got to see Morgan again and I finally met Debbie - love them! And I might be stalking you Jackie - but I told you I would. And I’m pretty sure I have a mad crush on Jessica now.
Can’t wait until the show airs online. I might be squealing a little… okay, maybe squealing a lot.

So much fun! I wanted to go but couldn’t get a babysitter and I had to work. I’ll be shooting this Sunday with her!
Isn’t it fun? And I am telling you, I am convinced this is going to be a huge hit!

Yeah!!!! I’m so glad you are going to be in it. Do you have an actual part or are you an extra? We should totally have a huge party when it finally airs.
