I am so sick and tired of hearing about health insurance. The government’s plan sucks. Private insurance sucks. It’s ALL too expensive. I just don’t understand WHY nobody can come up with a reasonable alternative to this totally screwed up industry that we are all in need of.
MY Health Plan would include this:
1. Portability. I want to be able to choose from any health insurance company in the United States. Period.
2. I want preventative care covered 100%. If I am paying money every single month to be covered by you, then the least you can do is pay for a well-check physical once a year. ONCE A YEAR!!!! I want to go to any doctor I choose and get my health screened. And by that I mean my blood tested, my heart tested, an MRI if I so choose, my weight, skin, ears, nose, throat, head, toes checked! Once a year is all I’m asking for people.
3. Vaccines provided free of charge for my children. Vaccines that are REQUIRED so they can enter a PUBLIC school. Just give the kids the damn shot!
4. Reasonably priced medication. There is just no reason on this planet (other than the F’d up drug companies making ginormous profits) that my medication should cost $200 when the same meds my neighbor gets cost them $10. NO REASON!!!!!
5. I want to see any doctor I choose. I CHOOSE. I don’t need someone telling me I have to choose a doctor on YOUR plan when I’ve been going to a doctor my whole life who isn’t ON your plan. That’s just plain stupid.
6. Cover everybody. EVERYBODY. We ALL have some kind of pre-existing condition. That’s why we need insurance, stupid idiots! Just cover everyone and call it a day!
7. Cover mental health, chiropractic, weight loss clinics. Do you people not understand that preventative care NOW will prevent long-term care LATER?
8. Reasonable premiums. THERE IS NO REASON A FAMILY OF 5 SHOULD BE PAYING OVER $300 A MONTH IN PREMIUMS WHEN WE AREN’T SICK…. EVER!
9. I say NO Lifetime medical insurance for politicians. EVER! Hell - if we are fired from a job, we lose our insurance. So should YOU! You aren’t working, why the hell are you getting something for nothing? That sucks!
10. Health insurance companies… you bitch and complain that paying doctors cost you too much. WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK IT COSTS US????? If you are going to hike my premiums twice a year, you better prove to me YOU ARE LOSING MONEY!!!!! If you are showing record high profits, YOU BETTER NOT (I REPEAT NOT) BE RAISING MY PREMIUMS!!!!
