Is it just me or does it seem like school starts earlier and earlier every year? I know here in California, almost everyone is back at school already, although in East Coast states, school doesn’t start until after Labor Day. Regardless of where you live, I know education funding has been such a huge issue lately, and that’s why the Labels for Education program is so valuable to all of us. Our parent/teacher organizations work tirelessly to fundraise at our schools so our teachers have even the basic supplies they need to properly teach our kids. Honestly, even supplies like paper and crayons are sometimes hard to come by. These things are expensive, and usually the teachers are dipping into their own pockets to provide them. So not fair. At our school, we have a multitude of programs where we try and squeeze out extra money wherever we can. The Labels for Education program is just one of them that can help provide some much needed supplies and products to your school. Here’s the deal! 1. Take a look at the product list and when you purchase any of these items, make sure you cut out the UPC code and give them to your school’s coordinator. There are over 2,500 products on the list so you know you are going to find a bunch you buy every week anyway. If you don’t have a school coordinator yet, sign up and choose someone. 2. Your coordinator will add up all the points earned with the UPC codes and will be able to order equipment from the Merchandise Catalog. You can track your school’s progress online… and get the kids involved too. They’ll love to see their points growing. That’s it! Easy, fun, and you know you are going to buy many of the listed products anyway. Might as well get something for it, right? The Labels for Education website even provides you COUPONS to use. Seriously… you can’t go wrong. The product list includes items you probably even have in your pantry right now. I picked a bunch up at my local Walmart the last time I was there. And of course… you can’t leave without some Campbell’s Soup! Now that you’ve got your shopping done, I’ll tell you about the Label’s for Education Sweepstakes! Wait for it, wait for it… there will be 1000 schools chosen to win $1,000!!!! Can you even imagine what your school can do with an extra $1,000? You don’t have to make a purchase to enter the sweepstakes (but I’m sure you’ll want to anyway). All you have to do is enter your information and your school’s name. Winners will be chosen at random so we ALL have a chance to win! You better believe I’m entering my school… as often as I can! We NEED that money for our kids!
