When Amanda told me she wanted an ice skating party for her birthday, I have to admit I did everything I could to talk her out of it. Nothing worked. Aside from the fact that she had only been on skates maybe once or twice before, she was insistent this is what she wanted for her birthday. Okay, fine. Skating it is.
Turned out everyone had a great time. Other than the first 30 minutes or so of Lauryn being hysterical because she was afraid to get on the ice and fall, all the kids did amazingly well on skates. Huge thank you to Juliana and Keara for holding Lauryn’s hands and helping her navigate her way around the rink. They are all completely addicted to skating now and want to make it a regular Friday night event.
If you haven’t been to Ice Station Valencia, you really should try it out. Awesome facility.
