I have to admit it took me a while to get around to loving my iPhone camera. I’m usually carrying around my big DSLR but to be honest, it’s darn heavy and inconvenient most times. I find that I am relying on my iPhone more and more and with the recent upgrade, it is definitely easier to share photos. So, since I’m taking more pictures with my phone, I’ve also been playing around more with the different photo apps.
Today, there is a new photo app that is hitting the iTunes market… ZAPD!
Zapd is a pretty cool new way of taking all those photos and actually using them to tell a story that you can then share with your friends and family via your iPhone. I know that I take tons of pictures and usually only end up posting one or two of them, if I do it at all. With Zapd, now I can make my own mini website for each occasion I want to showcase. It’s like creating online scrapbook pages.
There is so much you can do with Zapd!
- Travelogue for you and your traveling companions
- Wedding website where all guests can share photos during the ceremony and reception
- Family site to document updates, major milestones, kids growing up and events
- Sports fan collaboration site for a single game or all season long
- Sorority, fraternity and other club events
- All memories worth capturing and sharing!
You can view your site from your computer, iPad or iPhone. And YOU have complete control as to who you want to see them. Seriously, that’s the best part. Zapd can be downloaded for free from the App Store. I have to admit, there was a bit of a learning curve for me… I’m just so non-technical about these things, but I spent the past weekend playing around with it and I have to admit it’s a lot of fun. Now I need to get my friends and family on board so they can see my creativity.
Follow Zapd on Twitter @zapdapp and on Facebook.
I was provided a press release for Zapd and chose to experience it for myself. I received no compensation and wasn’t required to write about this app. All opinions are entirely my own.
