Bon Affair - Because It’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere

by Carolyn West on September 30, 2013

Thank you Bon Affair for sponsoring the SoCal Lady Bloggers WordPress/SEO workshop and for the fabulous gifts of sparkling wine.

In my other life, I run a blog network here in Southern California. I love what I do: get to meet amazing women, attend fabulous events, and I get to try out new products and share them with my blog readers. At one of our blog workshops, we were most fortunate to have Bon Affair as our sponsor. To be quite honest, I had never heard of them before. My partner, Melissa, had done a review for them and was sure they would be a good fit for our group.

Wine + Bloggers = A Great Fit

Bon Affair isn’t just any old wine. It is actually a wine spritzer and comes in two flavors: Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah. You know how you would open a bottle of wine and mix it with some carbonated water? Well, this takes all that mixing out of your hands. Just open the bottle and pour. Most sparkling wines are really sweet - great for after-dinner, but not usually something you want to drink with your meal. The Bon Affair wines are perfect for meals or snacks or wine & cheese, when you want a lighter, drier drink.

My favorite part is that they come in regular size wine bottles… and… small, individual size bottles. How awesome is that? I always have a hard time opening a bottle of wine when it’s just me sitting around the house and I really only want one glass. This is perfect for those times… and for when you travel… or go on a picnic. Or feel free to get the regular bottles, because you can definitely polish off one of those babies during dinner… or an afternoon.

We didn’t get to try the Syrah, but the Sauvignon Blanc was actually pretty refreshing. I love the fact that it’s all 100% natural, doesn’t have any added sugar or fake sweeteners, and it is about half the calories of a regular glass of wine. Did you hear that? HALF THE CALORIES! A wine spritzer you can feel good about while watching your weight.

Follow Bon Affair on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with special promotions and new products.

Bon Affair supplied the wine for the workshop in exchange for promotion. No monetary compensation was provided. All opinions are my own.

I like it when things are easy and you can just open the bottle and pour! I’ll have to check these out and see if they’re in my area yet.
