The Big Coffee Switch with Peet’s. #PeetsCoffee

I’ve written before about how much I love coffee.  I don’t know when it first started because I was never a big coffee drinker when I was younger.  Maybe it came from all those sleepless nights with babies crying and nursing.  The days seemed endless without a cup of coffee to keep me going.

I’ve tried so many different types of coffee I can’t even count them all.  I was a huge Starbucks fan for years, buying my latte nearly every day.  The problem was this: 1) It was too expensive, and 2) Once I finished one cup of coffee I either had to buy another or go without.  Not good.

About a year ago we bought a new coffee maker and I started making coffee at home every morning.  This discovery made me realize that not only was I saving a ton of money, but the coffee actually tasted better (or at least the same) as I got in the fancy coffee shops.  Plus… I could make a pot and have enough to last me all day.  Win!

I had been using the same type of coffee for a while when I was offered the chance to try out Peet’s Medium Roast Coffee.  I would stop at a Peet’s Coffee Shop every now and then but I had never bought Peet’s at the market to brew at home.  I ended up going to Target where I chose to buy Peet’s Cafe Solano Medium Roast.  You can see my entire shop HERE.

My husband is just as picky as I am about coffee, so I wanted to make something up special for him.  Saturday mornings are family time and I thought it would be perfect to switch up the coffee I usually make and see what he thought.

I brewed the coffee like I usually do but I added a little something special.

Adding some flavored creamer.

Brown Sugar Maple Latte creamer.

Everything tastes better with whipped cream.

... and a touch of cinnamon.

The coffee is ready, now to see what my husband thinks of it.

It was a beautiful morning out so I thought we’d sit out on the deck and enjoy our morning coffee without the noise of the kids.

I think he likes it!

Success!  He loved it. I think the Medium Blend coffee is the type that we both enjoy the most.  Not too strong and not too weak.  Just right.

We enjoyed out first cut and then we decided it was so good that we should take a second cup with us to the park to watch our nephew’s football game.

All in all it was a great day: morning coffee and then the park for a game and seeing the family.

Looks like your family had a great day! I know what you mean about depending on coffee. I’d love to drink less, but didn’t they just release more news about it being good for us?! Peets beats Starbucks hands down in my opinion. Glad you liked it! Thanks for sharing your story 🙂
