Sometimes I’m lucky enough to get asked to be a part of a truly amazing campaign. In honor of Sargento’s new Ultra Thin Sliced natural cheeses that are 45 calories or less per slice, they are challenging us for 45 days to “thin out” our lives. Each day Sargento has a different challenge to help us eliminate the things in our lives that don’t really matter without sacrificing the things that do. By visiting their Facebook page and participating in the challenges, you can work towards thinning out your lives and earning some great prizes.
My challenge was to turn to playing games as a great way to keep my family connected during our incredibly busy week. With Temera’s 6th grade graduation happening today and the preparations we’ve been working on for that, it’s really easy to lose sight of the fact that we really don’t spend enough quality time as a family. I’m hoping that by sitting down and taking a load off for an evening, we can reconnect and remember what it’s like to just have fun together.
When I went to our game shelf I was a little appalled by the disorganization of it all… we have game pieces all over the place which didn’t make it easy to select a game for all of us to play. I decided I really needed to find a space to keep everything contained and organized. I decided to move the game shelf from my daughter’s closet to our hall linen closet.
And while I was at clearing off a shelf in our linen closet, I figured I might as well clean out the entire linen closet.
So much better. It was time to get our game on (like the pun?) and have some good old fashioned family fun.
I received products and compensation from Sargento Foods Inc. and The Motherhood as part of my participation in this campaign. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are my own. #thintowin
