It’s been a while since I baked something just for the sake of baking. I was sitting at my kitchen table staring at a huge bowl of oranges we had. My kids have been eating 2, 4, 10 oranges a day. Who am I to complain? Orange season is here in California so we’ve been ODing on citrus. And all of a sudden it hit me… orange chocolate chip muffins. YUM!
I didn’t have a specific recipe that I’ve used before so I Googled it and found this Incredible Orange Chocolate Chip Muffin recipe from Food.com. I gathered my little helpers (a.k.a. Amanda and Lauryn) and started baking.
Amanda grating orange zest.
Lauryn cracking eggs.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add orange zest and other ingredients.
Add the chocolate chips in last.
Muffins ready for the oven.
Looks done to me.
Ah yes!
I wonder if any of these will actually last until morning.
