I’m trying to think how long David has been wearing Jockey underwear. I’m pretty sure it was way before I met him… and probably all his adult life. I don’t know if he’s every tried other brands… maybe once or twice, but I think he’s always come back to good ‘ole Jockey.
Recently, Mario Lopez came out with his own line of underwear. Yes… THAT Mario Lopez. If you are under 40 you’ll know him from the show EXTRA! If you are over 40 you’ll know him more fondly as Slater from “Saved By The Bell”. Unfortunately, I am part of the latter. Scary. Now, if it was left up to David, there would be no way he would ever think to try the new MaLo Underwear. Why? Because the colors are a little unconventional (not white) and he would probably think they were made for young men. Or, at least, younger than him. I knew I needed to expose him (pardon the pun) to some new brands and this was the perfect chance.
Target carries the MaLo brand so I headed out on a little shopping expedition while David was at work. You can check out my entire path-to-purchase HERE on Google+.

Not a bad backside, huh?So my husband truly surprised me by allowing me to take a picture of him. This is all you’re going to get ladies because the rest is under top secret cover.
He wore them to work, which is the real test of how they would fit. He was a little concerned with the fly part, however, because it was definitely a much smaller opening that his normal underwear. Well, after a day at work, what would he think of them?
He had a lot of comments, none of which I can publish on a G-rated website, but the general feeling was that he was pleased with the way they felt all day. They didn’t ride up on him (which is a biggie for him) and they were comfortable and held him in well (my words, not his). Again, the small fly part in front was a little too small for his tastes (maybe a poor choice of words?) but overall he would wear them again. Good thing, too, because I don’t think you can return underwear that’s been worn all day. Gross.
Now I think I might get him some other fun colors. Looks like making over my man was a success!

There were a lot of things I couldn’t believe my husband let me do. I told him I wouldn’t post the pic and he told me to go for it.
Looks like his drawer is going to see some improvement! Great post!

I love how your husband supports you, participating in your blog. That is very sweet of him.
I do remember Mario Lopez in Saved by the Bell, but also as our nearby neighbor.
I actually saw him last year at BlogHer in San Diego. He was at a party for SoftCup that I went to. He was surrounded by bodyguards and only let a few people near him.
What a great sport and the purple is a big upgrade- I love it! I can only imagine how that conversation actually went.

The funny thing is I told him I wouldn’t include the picture of him and he wanted to know why not. I think he actually likes the attention.
I can not believe you pulled this off! In so many ways… Adorable!
